Terms of Service

Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using Job Agent (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Adam White ("we", "us", or "operator"), based in Canada.

Service description

Job Agent is an automated job discovery and digest delivery service. It scans publicly available job boards and company career pages, scores postings against a profile you configure, and delivers a curated digest to your email address on a schedule you choose (daily or weekly).

The Service is currently invite-only. Access is granted at the operator's discretion. We reserve the right to limit the number of accounts at any time.

Account terms

• One account per person. Each account is for an individual user. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent access restrictions is not permitted.
• Accurate information. You must provide a valid email address and accurate profile information. Inaccurate preferences will produce poor job matches and are solely your responsibility.
• Account security. You are responsible for keeping your login link or session secure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Minimum age. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
• Attempt to access, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service's infrastructure or data.
• Submit false or misleading information during onboarding.
• Share your account or login links with others.
• Use the Service to harass, spam, or harm any third party.
• Attempt to overload or disrupt the Service through automated requests.

Job matching and digest delivery

The Service provides automated job discovery as a convenience. We make no guarantee about:

• The completeness or accuracy of job postings sourced from third-party boards and career pages.
• The relevance of any posting to your actual qualifications or employment goals.
• Delivery timing. Digests are sent on a best-effort basis and may be delayed by scraper failures, email delivery issues, or maintenance.

The Service is not a recruiter, staffing agency, or employment service. We do not represent employers or job seekers in any transaction.

No guarantee of job placement

Use of the Service does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment. Job outcomes depend entirely on factors outside our control, including employer decisions, market conditions, and your own qualifications and application efforts.

Intellectual property

The software, design, and original content of the Service are owned by the operator. Job postings are sourced from publicly available third-party sources and remain the property of their respective publishers.

You retain ownership of any content you upload (resume, preferences). By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process and store that content solely to operate the Service for your account.

Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time:

• You may request account deletion by emailing us. We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if the Service is discontinued, or for any other reason with reasonable notice where practical.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends immediately. We will delete your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, lost data, or loss of revenue. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or CAD $50 if you have paid nothing).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, notify active users by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
